Prize rules

1Who is running this

The promoter is AHQ Sports Ltd, the studio that makes Ultimate Volley.

Apple Inc. and Google LLC are not sponsors of this competition and are not involved in it in any way.

2How to enter

Play Ultimate Volley. Each game mode, High Score and Career, has two leaderboards: a global board with no prizes, and a competition board that runs for a set period and carries a prize. Your position on a competition board is your entry. There is nothing to buy, no form to fill in and no fee.

Any age can play and win. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian makes the claim, gives their own details, and receives the prize on your behalf. You must have a UK delivery address to receive a physical prize.

One entry per person per competition. Extra accounts are not extra entries, and using them disqualifies all of them.

3When

Each competition runs for 30 days. The start and end dates are shown on the leaderboard landing page in the game, and the board resets when the next competition starts.

We may also run shorter competitions, such as a week, when there is demand. They have their own dates and prizes, shown in the same place, and these rules apply to them unless the competition says otherwise.

We may skip a competition or end the prizes with notice in the game and on this page. Any competition already under way is honoured.

4How winners are decided

When a competition ends, the top places on its leaderboard win: how many, and what each wins, is set per competition and shown with its dates in the game. Skill decides: the board ranks performance in the game, and nothing is drawn at random.

A tie on points is broken by whoever reached that score first. The server's record of scores is final; scores are validated against what the game can actually produce, and anything outside that is removed.

5The prizes

We set the prize for each competition and show it with its dates on the leaderboard landing page in the game. A prize is either physical, from the UV range - the limited-edition UV Match Ball or a UV T-shirt - or virtual: something used in the game, such as boots, a kit, or in-game money for a Career.

Where the prize is a T-shirt, we ask for your size when you claim. T-shirts come in S, M, L and XL; if none of those fits, we will offer a ball or an in-game reward instead. Where the prize is a ball, we choose the colourway.

A virtual prize is granted automatically in the game, with nothing to claim. It belongs to the game mode the competition was played in, High Score or Career, and cannot be used in the other mode, moved to another account, or exchanged for anything else. In-game money has no value outside the game.

Each prize is worth less than £50. There is no cash alternative. If a prize becomes unavailable we will send one of at least equal value.

Winners who live outside the UK receive an in-game reward instead of a physical prize, as we ship within the UK only.

6Claiming a prize

Physical prizes: winners are told in the game within 7 days of the competition ending, with a claim code. To claim, enter the code and a UK delivery address on the claim page on this site within 14 days, along with your T-shirt size where the prize is a T-shirt. Under-18s: a parent or guardian completes the claim.

If a prize is not claimed within 14 days, or a claim cannot be verified, it passes to the next player on the board.

Virtual prizes need no claim: they appear in the game the next time the winner opens that mode.

One prize per person per competition. A player can win more than one competition.

7Fair play

Prizes are for playing the game as it is meant to be played. We withhold a prize, and may remove a player from the leaderboards, for cheating, modified game files, automation, multiple accounts, or scores that the game could not have produced.

Our decision on whether a score stands is final. If you think we have got it wrong, write to us through the contact page and we will look again.

8Delivery

Prizes are posted by Royal Mail Tracked, normally within 28 days of a verified claim. Balls are sent from our stock; T-shirts are printed to order and take a little longer.

We are not responsible for a prize lost after delivery to the address you gave us, but tell us and we will do what we reasonably can.

9Your details

To send a prize we need a name and a UK address, and an email address so we can confirm the claim. We use them only to deliver the prize and keep them no longer than needed for that, then delete them.

We may announce winners by their in-game name only. We never publish names or addresses.

10The small print

By taking part you accept these rules. Where the rules and anything shown in the game differ, these rules apply.

The competition is a prize competition of skill under UK law. It is not a lottery, and no purchase is necessary.
